At Heart & Halo, every design begins with love and faith in Christ.

Our work is deeply rooted in learning about the saints, their lives, their sacrifices, and the way they lived out their faith. Each piece we create is a raw and honest interpretation of those stories. These are not perfect or polished portrayals. They are personal, prayerful, and meaningful reflections shaped by how we understand and connect with each saint.

We live in a time when the world is increasingly driven by artificial intelligence and advanced technology. There are countless beautifully generated images and artworks created by AI, and many of them are truly inspiring. We recognize and appreciate the creativity and innovation behind them.

However, at Heart & Halo, we have intentionally chosen a different path.

We continue to use our own creativity, interpretation, and skills to create every design. Each illustration is drawn by hand, guided by our thoughts, our faith, and our personal connection to the saints. What we create comes directly from our minds and our hands, shaped by prayer, learning, and reflection.

Our designs may not be the most refined or the most technically perfect art you will see. But they are genuine. They are created with intention, humility, and love. That is what makes Heart & Halo special and unique.

Through these designs, we hope to share more than just artwork. We hope to inspire others to learn about the saints, to deepen their faith, and to feel encouraged in their own spiritual journeys. If even one person feels closer to Christ or more inspired in their faith because of something we created, then our work has fulfilled its purpose.

Why Heart & Halo Is Not a Non-Profit — but Donates All Proceeds to the Our Lady of Peace Korean Shrine Campaign

At Heart & Halo, we have always been driven by one mission: to create beautiful Catholic-inspired products that uplift the faithful and support the growth of our beloved Church communities. Many of you have asked why Heart & Halo is not registered as a non-profit organization, especially since we donate all of our proceeds to the Our Lady of Peace Korean Shrine Campaign. We’re grateful for your support and want to share the reasons with transparency and trust.

A Small Business with a Big Heart

Heart & Halo began less than a year ago as a small, personal business. I invested my own time, effort, and funds to bring this vision to life. Because of this:

✨We are not currently a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization

Filing for tax-exempt status under Internal Revenue Code Section 501(c)(3) is something any organization can pursue. However, this process takes time — often years — before the status is officially recognized by the IRS.

✨There are risks involved with early non-profit designation

If an organization files for exemption but later the IRS determines that it did not meet the necessary criteria, any funds collected under the assumption of tax-exempt status may have to be refunded. For a small business just starting, this presents a significant financial risk.

Protecting the Mission and Our Church Partners

Another important reason we are not registered as a non-profit is because Heart & Halo is not operated under the financial umbrella of the Our Lady of Peace Korean Catholic Center. All investment and financial responsibility for the business has come solely from me. This means:

✨If anything were to fail — financially or operationally — it would not impact the parish or its resources.

✨The church is not financially responsible for Heart & Halo, and Heart & Halo is not legally part of the church organization.

This separation protects the parish and ensures that my personal commitment to support the Shrine Campaign does not create unintended burdens for the parish community.

Even while we work toward possible future non-profit status, all proceeds from your purchases are donated in full to the Our Lady of Peace Korean Shrine Campaign. This means:
